Ballcups last day...Can he make it!!

I briefly touched on this in a previous blog. It is a crazy feat and pretty nutty to watch. Ballcup is attempting to attempt to play 2 million hands in 5 1/2 months, earning Supernova Elite on Pokerstars. Today is the last day so there should be some insane table playing.

Alright, already!

This year I just haven't felt the holiday 'spirit'. So, getting caught up in what is expected of you during this time of year can be a drag when you aren't feeling 'it'. There is a lot I need to get done before I make it out to Biloxi. I expect that there will be less time than I need, so that means crunch time. Pardon the blog for the next couple days. There will be short post while I get everything in order. You will learn that I am a last minute type of fella.

I will play a bit today, but the majority of time will be spent on lovely CSS/HTML coding. What fun!

Getting ready for a awesome 2010!

It's the day after Christmas. The house is clean, the computer has been cleaned up and ready to go. Tomorrow I get started early. As for tonight I'm gonna take it easy and find a good movie to watch.

Much to be done, but lights First!

I'm going to be working on making my blog a bit more functional and streamline in the coming days. I haven't had a lot of time because of the holiday's. I am really looking forward to actually getting to work on this and several other projects.

Tonight, Melissa and I will be doing our yearly tour of lights. We drive around town looking at the "bling, bling". I'm usually into it, but this year I'm not real feeling "the Christmas Spirit". It is probably all the excitement I have surrounding 2010. There is going to be a lot going on in my Online world and I will be playing a shit ton more live events all over the southeast and east coast.

Things are looking good.

Last night ran later than I wanted. I didn't get started till around 12:30. Multi-tabled 5 SnG's. 2 Thirds 1 Second and 2 Firsts. The last one took forever heads-up. Every time I had the buy dead to rights, he would hit a 2 outer and I'd be back at the chip chip away.

Monday-Wednesday are the worst times for me, considering I don't get home till 10:30pm. I really shouldn't play at all, but I get the itch and I have to scratch.

I'll be home for Christmas...

Which probably means I will be playing online and eating massive amounts of junk food. The lady is going to Jacksonville to see her folks. I get to put in some serious sessions, which I'm stoked about. I'll also be working on some of my upcoming sites and this blog.

As for today, I might broadcast some on Ustream and work on the Zorag stake some more. I moved up last night to the 2.25$ SnGs. Took a second for a big ol' 12 bones.

I had not run a stake on GAS for sometime due to the lack of a keyboard to actually apply. I figured I should start back at the micro's until I improve my stats and standing at the site. I want to be a consistent winner when I run for a backer, but I also want to have a solid reputation as able to build a lot from a little. So far so good, I've double the initial stake and will continue later today.
Check out the GAS banner on the left to join.

As for my personal roll on AP/UB things are going pretty well over there. I do have around $200 bucks loaned out to some friends. I wish I had had them sign up to GAS and done it that way. I'd be getting a little more kick back that way. The loan is to a personal friend I have known since High School and is a very competent player. The juice is small and I think with his padded bankroll it will help on a return.

I wanted to talk about the Brain Hastings/Townsend/Cole/Ilsidur1 thing, but I'm gonna wait till more information is out. I'll throw out my 2 cents later tonight.

Why not....

So I went ahead and set up my own Ustream Channel. I think there is a lot of potential there for learning, teaching and find other players that are at the same level. I'll broadcast some of my play, but more or less I'd like to play replays and discuss the action that I took and where more value might have been extracted. Check out the side bar for another link. There might be a way to embed the feed directly here, which would be rad.

I have some tournies starting shortly on AP and will be working on the stake I'm running for Zorag @ getastake.

The stake is extremely micro. It is sorta like a heeb. Z calls it a mutual fund. I start with 11$ and have to play $1.70 lower SnG's till I get it to $15. After that I think it moves up to 2.20 till 35. You can check the status of the rail here.

Really need to get back on working my stats up so I can grab some larger stakes on FT. I've got enough on UB/AP to play most of the tournaments I want there, but Prolabs doesn't track the Cereus Network.

I'll tweet any important Tourny news...

Ustream is nutty!

I found Ustream.com after watching Snoop Dog on a Late night talk show, not sure which one. I've always liked snoop, he plays his character to perfection. Stoner, OG! Gotta respect that. Anyhow, I watched his feed for about 10 minutes. It consisted of him and his crew smoking blunt after blunt and Snoop the DJ playing some jams. I figured that that was about all there was to offer so I started browsing the other live feeds. Came across some pretty crazy stuff. A shit ton of Arabic TV broadcasts, police scanners, radio shows, random folks rambling on about nothing. I decided to see if anyone was using as a poker tool. I found a couple of gems in the mix.

The Ballcup Challenge is pretty fucking sick. You can watch this guy attempt to play 2 million hands in 5 1/2 months, earning Supernova Elite on Pokerstars. He is multi-tabling 36+ Tables and it can be a laugh watching him. Reminds me of a crazy man on PCP, the way his head bounces around. Still one helluva a feat if he completes. He has 20 or so days. Check out his blog and Ustream link below.

I also came across a college student in Charlotte, NC that streams tournaments that he is playing in and has people call in on Skype. I took part in the stream today and enjoyed myself. I plan on calling in again and talking more poker when there is a little less distraction around the house. I'd rather do it late at night when I'm not playing and have a few brews in me. I might be a little more entertaining to the other viewers. Hell I might take his lead and do one of my own.

His name is Karmakrazy. He has a youtube channel/Blog/Stream. I can respect the work that goes into it. Which I had a bit more drive when it comes to that stuff, could actually maybe find some folks in the same place in there poker life and benifit from it.

There are a few more out there, if I find that I like one I'll post more. Let me know if you find anything interesting on the Ustream. I can see potential there for a lot of things.

As for poker today, I'm not going to get much in. I have a Christmas party to attend and I was taking the Lady out for some wine and a cheese plate. Have to keep the women that supports my dreams a little taste of the good life now and than.

I'll play a few STT if I can squeeze them in. Tomorrow is the big day. I hope to have a better showing than last Sunday. I played 7 Tournies min cashed in 6 and bubbled the other one. Almost made a quick $5oo for knocking out a pro in the Sebok 1Mill Twitter tourny on UB. I had AJ vs JJ, Flopped an Ace and chopped the pot when we both hit a straight on the end. Bah!

That's all for now. If I get any good pics from the party I'll post them up.

ADHD, Poker and Blogs.

Wow, I am horrible at keeping up with this stuff. I can find time to squeeze in a game here and there but never remember to post a blog. It is very remincant of a journal I tried to keep as a teenager a. I find the thing from time to time write something in it, hide it from myself, completely forget about it till I find it again. It is 15 years old and only has about 30 entries in it. Shame!

I'm trying to establish a routine. Something 'they' say to do to help coup with being a scatter-brain. My only routine is to completely ignore any form of routine. It's tough!

I haven't gotten burnt out this year, which is a good thing. I'm taking it to the 'streets' in 2010. I'm rededicating myself to my future as a 'real' player. I'll be turning 30 in July and it's go time. Shit or get off the pot. I haven't done any hardcore study of my game in about 9 months and I think it's time to really dissect it. Find the leaks, plug them and move up!

January another trip to Biloxi for the WPT Southern Poker Championship Prelims. Thinking I might head to New Orleans, Harrah's for the WSOP circuit event in May. If all goes well I wanna be in Vegas for the Big Show. I would like to play one of the 1,500 events and see the choas that is the MECCA of Poker.

Anyhow, I'll try this again. Let's see if I can keep up with it.

-Jonny OUT!

Okay!

This is a little ridiculous. I have 2 days before the trip and I have spent the last few days getting all my ducks in a row. Everything was running pretty smooth, but today has been a fiasco. Whatever I've tried to do has ended in one failure or the other. Took me 3 hours and 4 different locations to get my check cashed. The truck that is suppose to take my ass to Biloxi broke down. I'm not done with the day yet.

I WILL NOT TILT!

Debating to go get a haircut or go to the track to pad the bankroll a little more.

*EDIT*

FUCK YEAH!!!! TRUCK IS FIXED!!!

To be plugged in...

You can know certin things. You can know when you are ahead. You can know when you are behind. There are points that you can know exactly where you are at in every move that is made. Sometimes it isn't good enough.
It is a standard Thursday night game. A lot of hocus pocus, a lot of to much to soon. I night for the butchers and the bloody. It is a standard night at Blood Meridain. The "Cormac Mcarthy" proving ground, where everyone is the "kid". I am always the "kid". They never believe me.
When you move with AQd and you get called by K10c, you have to figure you are the likey Pony boy. Not always the case. Sometimes it doesn't work out. Sometimes they hit the "K" on the river. I'm plugged in. I knew I was beat when he tabled the "k". I can't wait for the "Missipp..."

I will give the state a reason to have a name. They are all going to miss!!!! Everyone can't get lucky all the time.......
....right?

So close...

I can taste the air. I can almost hear the bells and whistles of the casino floor. I'm all plugged in. Lady Luck is taking me under her wing. Sunday and the four hour drive is around the cornor. I don't have much to say at this point. I am as eagar as I can be to feel the felt and say "raise."

The plan is to get there hit the cash games, make a little money. Monday watch the Noles and Miami tangle. Haven't decided what events I will play. I'll be there long enough to have a choice. This is gonna be a hell'uva trip.

Beware falling fonts....

I can't stand the look of this. How can anyone work in this mess. I need to clean up this page and the area around my computer. I really need to be more disciplined when it comes to keeping my house and mind clear. I am suppose to be taking medicine for my ADHD, but I often forget to or misplace it. It's to late tonight to get to the meat of it.

I am trying out HEM to see if I like it better than PT3. I'll let ya know what I think about it in an upcoming blog. If I can find my damn medication.

In preparation...

I have failed on several occasions to actually start and continue a blog about my attempts at poker perfection. So I'm starting again. The task itself is a bar set a little to high, but what the hell! I don't want the reader to assume that there will be any standard structure or thoughts. Picture this blog as a canvas that some 3 year old has been left alone with. He has a paintball gun, finger paints, a cannon and a 12 pack of beer. It could get ugly in here.
